In 1952, China Monopoly Corporation held the first 'National Baijiu Judging Conference' in Beijing. Based on the criteria of “quality, popularity, history and brewing technique”, all famous liquors from the whole country were being judged. Eight liquors were selected as the famous liquor in China, four of them were baijiu, including Luzhou Laojiao.

In 2006, the traditional brewing technique of Luzhou Laojiao was selected in the list of National Intangible Cultural Heritage. The 1573 National Cellar Clusters was selected as the National Key Cultural Relic Protection Unit. Therefore, Luzhou Laojiao is the first enterprise to be honored of double national treasure in baijiu industry.

Awarded as famous baijiu in all National Baijiu Judging Conferences, in which Luzhou Laojiao was the only Strong Aroma Baijiu. The contribution of Luzhou Laojiao to Chinese Baijiu industry led to the result of strong aroma Baijiu accounting 75% market share in China nowadays.

On May 9, 1994, Luzhou Laojiao Co.,Ltd's 'Luzhou Laojiao' stock (000568) was listed in Shenzhen Stock Exchange, becoming the first joint-stock baijiu enterprise in Sichuan and also the first baijiu enterprise to be listed in Shenzhen Stock Exchange. It was a solid step towards asset securitization.
